Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7 years) and 2 (ages 8-11 years)
The core curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2 comprises:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Information Communication Technology (ICT)
Children also study the subjects below as part of the National Curriculum. These are called foundation subjects.
- Art and Design
- History
- Geography
- Music
- Physical Education
In addition, all children will learn Arabic, either as a first or as a second language, as determined by the Qatar Ministry of Education. Students of the Islamic faith will also take Islamic Studies. The history of Qatar is studied in all primary year groups. |
