The wide and varied curriculum will motivate your child to obtain knowledge and develop personal skills. All achievements are praised and students regularly enjoy success during school hours. We encourage children to become independent and confident participants who are able to interact well with both staff and their peers.
The children are taught by a class teacher in mixed ability classes with children of the same age. The exception to this is when they are taught Arabic and Islamic Studies. These lessons are taught by a specialist teacher. There is presently one class per year group with maximum of 20 children in the Pre-School class and 25 children in other classes. At present, the numbers in each class are much lower.
Our teachers are all well qualified and experienced professionals. The staffing complement for each class in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 is an experienced teacher and a teaching assistant. There is also a school nurse on duty during school hours. Every classroom is fully furnished and equipped with quality learning resources appropriate to the age and needs of the children.
The class teacher will get to know your child and will be pleased to inform you of his/her successes and achievements. Children make progress at their own rates and in their own ways. It is important to value them as individuals and to provide learning opportunities that will build on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses.
The curriculum is broad and balanced and provides for the academic, moral, physical, creative and personal and social development of every child.
