Loydence Academy opened its doors for boys and girls in October 2009. We have already established a reputation in the community for high academic standards within a very friendly, ‘family-style’ atmosphere

Our building has been modified with the needs of small children in mind. The classroom resources are mainly from the UK and are specifically designed to complement the curriculum. We also have an outdoor swimming pool on the school site. Swimming lessons are given during the warmer summer months.

Being part of a new and developing school is very exciting. There are many opportunities for children, parents, guardians and staff to be an integral part of the shaping of this new community. Education is an affiliation between home and school and we place great importance on our partnership with parents/guardians. We believe that children learn best when the home and school work together for their advantage. Our teaching staff welcomes the opportunity to meet with parents, whether it is informally, before or after classes or more formally during regularly planned parent/teacher consultation & information meetings. Individual student reports are also distributed to parents at the end of each term.

Children commencing school bring with them a good deal of knowledge and understanding about the world in their immediate vicinity. It is our aim to build on these experiences to provide a solid foundation for future educational development. Child-centered and ‘hands-on’ tasks form key roles in the child’s learning experience at Loydence Academy.
